Romance Release Radar: November 2026
November is nearly here, which means darker evenings, an excellent excuse to cancel plans in favour of a good book, and plenty of new releases to add to that ever-growing TBR pile. As if any of us needed more books to read.
This month’s lineup has a little bit of everything, from workplace romance and complicated pasts to festive chaos, witches and a slow-burn romance on a deserted island. Because apparently, all you need to fall in love is a tropical disaster and a very long time away from civilisation.
Here are five November releases I have my eye on. Which ones are making it onto your reading list?
The Apparent Trap
by Ali Rosen
1st November
Ezzie Halevi is a morning show producer who accidentally introduces her widowed father to his much younger co-anchor. The problem? His new girlfriend is the estranged daughter of Lee Morgan, the charming chef who ghosted Ezzie just weeks earlier.
Naturally, Ezzie and Lee decide to team up and sabotage their parents’ relationship before anyone gets hurt. What could possibly go wrong? With meddling matchmakers, workplace romance and unresolved feelings, this sounds like the sort of romantic comedy that will have you shouting at the characters to stop interfering with everyone else's love lives and sort out their own.
Him & I
by Helena Hunting
10th November
Birdie is determined to leave her past behind, but her new CEO, Jarrod Storm, is the man who destroyed her life and took everything from her. He's spent years building his wealth and power, and apparently, he's also spent those years waiting for her.
Birdie loathes him, but there's one rather inconvenient problem: she still feels safe with him. If you love complicated relationships, unresolved history and the sort of romantic tension that comes from knowing someone can hurt you just as easily as they can make you feel understood, this one deserves a spot on your TBR. Because sometimes the person you most want to avoid is the person you can't quite let go of.
The Heist Before Christmas
by Lucy Score
10th November 2026
I'm always happy to entertain a little Christmas reading when romance is involved, especially when there's a psychic, a theft investigation and a truly questionable security uniform.
In the fifth Riley Thorn book, Riley and her fiancé Nick Santiago are juggling wedding plans and everyday chaos when Nick goes undercover at a shopping mall to investigate a theft ring. Add festive mayhem, family drama, a stray kitten and a twelve-foot inflatable Santa, and you can safely forget about a quiet Christmas.
If you enjoy your romance with plenty of humour, mystery and a couple whose lives never seem to go according to plan, this could be a brilliant November read.
Birth of the Witch
by Nora Roberts
17th November
Fancy something a little more magical? Nora Roberts kicks off her new A Coven of Three trilogy with a story of witchcraft, family secrets and a darkness that needs to be stopped.
The story begins in 1695, when thirteen-year-old Niamh McShane dies during the witch-hunting madness on Piety Island. Centuries later, Neve McShane celebrates her own thirteenth birthday and discovers that her aunts are witches, and so is she. Suddenly, her family history is a lot more complicated than she imagined.
If you love supernatural mysteries, generations of family secrets and a little escapism from the real world, this sounds like the perfect book for a dark November evening. A blanket, a hot drink and a new magical trilogy? Count me in.
Peculiar Stars
by Rebecca Yarros
17th November
Rebecca Yarros is taking us away from dragon riders and into a very different kind of survival story. This time, there's a deserted island, a cyclone and a romance that takes its time to develop.
Callista Moran thinks her life is falling into place when she gets engaged to Darren Knight, but a sailing trip goes disastrously wrong, leaving her stranded with Darren's cousin Dominic, an ex-army medic. Eighteen months of survival bring unexpected personal growth and a connection neither of them planned for.
The real challenge comes when they're rescued and have to return to their old lives, even though everything has changed. If you love slow-burn romance, forced proximity and characters discovering what they really want, this one sounds well worth a look. Being stranded on an island isn't my preferred way to meet someone, but I can appreciate the appeal!
Which November releases are on your TBR?
From meddling matchmakers to festive detective chaos, witches and island romance, November is looking rather promising for romance readers.
I'm particularly excited by the variety this month. Sometimes I want a funny workplace romance, sometimes I want a fictional man with a complicated past, and sometimes I want to escape into a completely different world. That's the beauty of reading: there's always another story waiting to pull you in.
Happy reading!
