My all-time favourite Halloween reads with the perfect blend of suspision, spooky and seriously steamy...

If your idea of the perfect October night includes a blanket, a candle that smells like burnt caramel, and a romance that gives you chills for all the right reasons, this list is for you. Whether you like witches, vampires, ghosts, or just a good old-fashioned cabin fling, these stories deliver heat, heart, and a little hint of danger. Here are my favourite Halloween romances that promise to leave your spine tingling and your cheeks flushed.

Scared Sexy Collection

Three colorful book covers: "Hot for Slayer" by Ali Hazelwood in red with a heart and pencil, "Falling" by Christina Lauren, and "A Very XLittle12to"

First up - The Scared Sexy Collection is here to spice up your spooky season. Featuring six fresh novellas from top romance authors, it brings you just the right blend of thrills, chills, and swoon-worthy heat. Think haunted mansions, dangerous charmers, and enough chemistry to warm even the coldest October night. A totally unique way of presenting romance, I am truly obsesed.

A man in a skull mask and leather jacket on a purple-lit book cover. Text: Ghost, Book One: The Halloween Boys by Kat Blackthorne.

Ghost (The Halloween Boys #1) – Kat Blackthorne

In Ghost (The Halloween Boys #1), Kat Blackthorne doesn’t flirt with the dark, she dives straight in. Expect lust that borders on madness, danger that reads like a dare, and a hero as haunting as he is irresistible. Honestly, every page hums with tension, every touch feels forbidden, and by the time the walls start whispering, you’ll be willing to trade your soul for just one more moment. This is serious gothic heat turned all the way up, a paranormal romance that burns black.

Hands holding a red apple on a black background. Text: "Twilight" and "The #1 New York Times Bestseller by Stephenie Meyer."
The Twilight Series

Say what you will about sparkly vampires, Twilight remains the original gateway drug to dark romance. Stephenie Meyer gave us brooding immortals, forbidden desire, and that delicious ache of wanting what you shouldn’t. Edward and Bella’s chemistry leans toward smoulder over sizzle, but beneath the restraint pulses an intensity that feels almost dangerous. It’s gothic yearning wrapped in Pacific Northwest mist, the kind of slow burn that made a whole generation crave a monster who’d die to protect you… or bite you just once.

Book cover for "Payback’s a Witch" by Lana Harper. Features mystical hands, stars, crescent moon, and purple swirls on black. New York Times bestseller.
Payback’s a Witch – Lana Harper

Payback’s a Witch by Lana Harper is what you get when small-town magic collides with big chemistry. When Emmy returns to Thistle Grove for a witchy tournament and maybe a little revenge, sparks fly in every sense of the word. There’s spellcraft, sapphic tension, and a slow burn that feels like moonlight on bare skin. It’s clever, cozy, and just sinister enough to make you believe heartbreak might be healed by the right hex and a well-timed kiss.

Shirtless man in red plaid holds wood, stands by cabin with autumn trees. Text: Tiffany Reisz, Men at Work, Her Halloween Treat.
Her Halloween Treat – Tiffany Reisz

Forget tricks, Tiffany Reisz’s Her Halloween Treat is pure treat. It’s a fall fantasy full of rekindled desire, forest air, and chemistry that could light up a jack-o’-lantern from ten paces. Jolene’s homecoming turns into a storm of unresolved tension, and when the past catches fire, it burns beautifully. Expect laughter, longing, and open-door heat, the kind of romance that proves sometimes the scariest thing is admitting what (or whom) you still want.

From brooding vampires to vengeful witches and dangerously charming ghosts, these stories prove Halloween isn’t just about what goes bump in the night. It’s about passion, power, and the thrill of surrendering to something that feels a little forbidden. So, grab your favourite drink, dim the lights, and let these steamy paranormal romances remind you that sometimes the most haunting love stories are the ones that set your pulse racing.

Although none of my books have any specific Halloween stories, they are filled with autumnal moments in New York, or pure passion in the office, so don’t forget to check them out on my site here or over on Amazon
