I meet with a group of friends in Edinburgh to ruminate over writing, actually write (if there is not too much gossip to be shared), read, and learn something new. One of these friends, Anjelica, told us a story about being kept awake in her flat by the nighttime activities of her new next-door neighbors. To be honest, I was slightly envious, it sounded like the perfect situation for a romance author!
The following morning, she woke up to a note and a packet of biscuits on her doorstep:
"I'm sorry that you were kept awake by our loud sex last night. Absolutely not a nice position to be in! We were a little tipsy after returning from a gig but I will be much more mindful going forward to keep the sex on mute/down low if returning from a night out. Genuine apologies and it won't happen again. here are some biscuits to make your Saturday better than today. All the best, New Neighbours"
